I guess I should jot down why, in case this diary falls into the hands of another someday.

A couple weeks ago I woke up from a strange dream, unusually vivid. I saw an extinct volcano in the middle of the desert, then a city on a lake, and then a female figure - almost like a ghost, calling to me, calling to New Mexico.

Being the spontaneous nutcase that I am, I booked a flight to New Mexico with the few frequent flyer miles I've accumulated over the years, rented a car, and started driving. Drove right into the middle of nowhere, of course. My sense of direction has always been skewed. Met a guy named Zandi, Jeff Zandi, I think...names are not my forte either. He led me to the Cleft, where I saw a hologram of Yeesha and began my journey. I have become an unofficial D'Ni explorer like a handful of others who are discovering the Ages. I feel like Lara Croft, minus the boots and a pair of pistols.

The DRC may be more or less inactive, and Aegura is a construction site, but I'm spending a month or so here. The Ages are just too beautiful, ethereal even. I've obtained 15 books already, and I have a deep appreciation for all of them. Mom and dad are furious. They'll live. They should have known that an engineer's and artist's daughter would end up exploring untapped worlds. Can't wait to learn more about the D'Ni. It seems there is a niche for D'Ni history online. I'll look into it, and write about my findings later.

Glendolyn

A note on the name: I've taken a pseudonym underground, partially for anonymity, partially for safety. I want to keep it this way, so my journal entries will be signed as such. Hopefully I don't slip up, having a pseudonym is very new to me, but seems to be quite popular here.
